Last week, our speaker, Greg Podd, provided us with enlightening insight into the future for Rotary International. Highlighting worldwide eradication of of polio, growing membership in North America, and potential areas for future attention.
 
Our program this week will feature Gerry Wissink, CEO for Legacy Foundation.  BHHS Legacy Foundation and Legacy Connection share a joint mission to enhance the quality of life and health of those they serve. They do this by funding grants to health related non-profits, nurturing collaborative partnerships, and raising funds through Legacy Connection for grant funding to support community organizations that work to promote good health. BHHS Legacy Foundation has been a long-time supporter for Special Day for Special Kids and our "Back-to-School" programs.  Bring a potential member to learn how SSRC works in our community.
 
Mark your calendar for next week, January 18th when our speaker will be Robert Stein, Deputy Chief Economist at First Trust Advisors L.P.  Mr. Stein is responsible for forecasting and analyzing economic indicators as well as writing economic commentaries. This is a great opportunity to invite potential members.
 
SSRC board meeting will be January 10th at 5:30 PM at the Haberer's home, 7329 E. Carol Way, Scottsdale 85260.  All SSRC members are welcome. Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 9th if you plan to attend.
