Last Thursday SSRC Rotarians enjoyed a Holiday Party filled with great conversations, good food and a lot of "stealing" gifts. The Holiday party provides us with the opportunity for extended interaction with our fellow Rotarians, their spouses and friends. I particularly liked the look on Scott Sherman's face every time his gift was stolen, the enthusiasm with which Greg Podd enticed people to "steal" his beautiful tray and the collectors wine bottle holder which Terry Kutzbach took home. Bill Adams did a great job as emcee for the evening and moved the gift exchange along in record time. A big thanks to Madge Adams for keeping track of the attendees and everyone else who made the evening possible.
Our next SSRC meeting will be held at the same location, the Starfire Golf Club on January 5. The golf pro from Starfire, Jason Brill will be the speaker. Our Golf outing to support SDSK will be held Friday February 24. Please sign up on the SSRC Website or give a check to Neil Sutton for your foursome. If you are playing as a single or pair.. we will hook you up with a team. I have placed the information about the event on the SSRC Website. We are looking for a record turnout of golfers this year so please register as soon as you can.
I am also open to suggestions for opportunities to socialize and have fun. Some ideas so far are Octane Raceway, Top Golf, a dinner theater event etc. Please let me know what you think would be a good way to get our club together with their families to have fun.
