Our speaker last week was Colleen Coons, D5495 Rotaract Chair. Colleen shared about the current state of Rotaract in our district, which is strong and continues expanding. Rotaract is now elevated to equivalent of Club status, with RI's focus on traditional university level Rotaract extending into vibrant community Clubs with members 18+.
In this week's meeting I announced our Club was recognized at District Conference for two awards...
The first is the President's Citation: The 5 Avenues of Service Award for Club Achievement. We are one of only FOUR Clubs in the District to receive this award for the 2022-2023 year. Pictured below, Lauren Dessis and I had the pleasure of accepting this award on behalf of the Club.
The second award is the "Get Your Hands Dirty - Carve Roads Through Mountains" award, which was given by DG Larry Horton for our annual Special Day for Special Kids event.

ASU Rotaract Traveling Trophy Fundraiser
The Rotaract Club of ASU is hosting the third annual Traveling Trophy Fundraiser.
This initiative raises money for the San Tan Rotary Foundation, directing 100% of proceeds to Arizona Veteran Fly Fishing (AVFF), a not-for-profit aligned with Project Phoenix Healing Waters Fly Fishing.
The purpose of AVFF is to help returned veterans recuperate from the difficulties of combat.
This fundraiser is meant to be a friendly competition between participating Rotary Clubs located in Maricopa County. The Rotary Club (Club and/or individual member donations) that donates the most between May 1st and June 30th will win the Traveling Trophy.
