Sunrise Rotary attendance is a sure fire way to determine what time of year it is. Last week we had 45 Rotarians and guests in attendance which means "The Season" is upon us! It was great to see "old friends" (Canadians Tim Koepke and Klaus Reichwald"), several visiting Rotarians, and at least two potential new members. AND Klaus was so happy to be back in the Valley that he won the raffle jackpot!! Everyone was momentarily stunned when he drew the Queen of Spades from what looked to be at least 45 cards.

The year 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of The Rotary Foundation. A year of celebration and a drive to raise significant special anniversary funds from our district (5510) will start next year. Toward that end members Olivier Wamain and Lee Dueringer attended the initial planning event last Saturday to start the process that will culminate in a gala banquet in November 2017.
This week we will celebrate the induction of our newest member Terry Kutzbach. Scottsdale Sunrise is Terry's third Rotary Club and we are pleased and honored that he has chosen us as his new Rotary home in Scottsdale. Welcome Terry!
