A new Rotary year begins on Wednesday, July 1 and I reviewed our club's activities during the past year at a Club Assembly last Thursday. 2014 - 2015 highlights include a gain of 3 active members to 36, receipt of the Gold District 5510 Achievement Award, successful completion of several projects including the 30th edition of Special Day for Special Kids, and approval by Rotary International of our Global Grant application to provide needed medical equipment to the people of Rwanda. We also installed Alan Bakst as president-elect. Our club had a great year thanks to the hard work and dedication of our members. Thank you! I'm looking forward to working with each of you as your president as the new year begins.
The McCormick Ranch Golf Club will be closed for renovation in mid-July and as a result we will not meet on July 16.
The raffle jackpot remains unclaimed and the winner's share is now north of $1,300. Wow!
Our club WILL NOT MEET Thursday morning July 2 and July 16.
Have a safe 4th and I'll see you bright and early on Thursday July 9.
