It looks like we'll have a good crowd for our club's installation banquet on Thursday evening June 23 at 6:30pm at Pasta Brioni restaurant. We won't meet that morning and spouses/significant others are especially encouraged to attend. If you haven't already RSVP'd please respond to Madge at madgeinaz@aol.com to let her know if you are coming OR not and how many will be in your party.
Our program this week is brought to us by our members both new and "old" that will tell us about their vocations. One of the founding principles of Rotary was to encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and we'll celebrate several different vocations this week.
Note the sign above Dave Smith in the picture below. Dave and Elizabeth were on holiday in Les Andelys, Normandy, France. Viva la France!
I have wonderful news on this unofficial beginning of summer! Patricia (Patti) Schoenhardt has become our club's 42nd member. Sponsored by Bill Bergdoll, Patti resides at 1457 W Straford Avenue in Gilbert. She is a consultant for Nationwide Insurance and her office is at 8777 N Gainey Center in Scottsdale. Her spouse is Brett and they have three children. In her spare time Patti is a youth volleyball coach and is involved with the Community Engagement Council at Nationwide. She is an INROADS Alumna and volunteer and is also a United Way volunteer. Interesting facts about Patti include she is an Arizona native, she played collegiate volleyball, she coached high school volleyball at Seton Catholic, AND her great uncle was a Rotarian International President.
We are so fortunate to have Patti join us. She will be inducted into membership this week. Please come Thursday morning and say hello to Patti and welcome her to Sunrise Rotary!
See you Thursday morning and Let's Share Rotary!
