International Service Committee

 

Project C.U.R.E – In 2015, we will donate $5,000 and obtain an additional $30,000

from individuals and a Rotary District Global Grant to assist in shipping $1.5 million of donated medical supplies and equipment to Rwanda.

 

Microcredit Programs – Our club has contributed to microcredit lending programs in Mexico (2012) and Haiti (2013) to assist borrowers in establishing, maintaining, or expanding a family business.

 

Gift of Life – Arizona – In 2013 and prior years, a contribution was made toward providing open-heart surgery to needy children worldwide.

 

End Polio Now – Rotary International launched PolioPlus in 1985 as a multi-million dollar campaign to immunize the world’s children against polio. Since then, Rotary and its partners – the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – have led the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.  Our club contributes to this effort each year.

 

Million Meal Project – In August 2013, our club assisted in an event organized by the Phoenix 100 Rotary Club to package food for the Feed My Starving Children project.
