GREAT NEWS.............Alan Bakst came home from the hospital on Thursday, April 26th following his stem cell transplant procedure.  If you missed Bill Adams email, check out the photo of Alan on the club website.  He looks like a very happy camper.  We are all so happy to see the tremendous progress Alan has made.  We're all looking forward to his return to Rotary.
 
Last week we heard from Kim Gustafson, Major Gift Officer at Neighborhood Ministries, a West Phoenix based family outreach organization, with programs to meet community basic needs including food, clothing, and youth services. Their empowerment programs provide case management, academic support, and workforce development.
 
This week we will hear from Gene Munoz-Villafame, Director of Vista Del Camino, a Scottsdale Human Service organization, providing a variety of services to Scottsdale residents to prevent homelessness, meet basic needs of individuals and families in crisis, relieve economic and emotional stress, and assist individuals to maintain self-sufficiency.  Greg Bestgen, Human Services Director for City of Scottsdale will also join the program.
 
There will be NO meeting at McCormick Ranch.Golf Club on Thursday, May 10th because we will be celebrating that evening at 6:00 PM at the home of Craig and Julianne Rethwill. The evening promises to be a fun event with good food, beverages, and entertainment. If you have not RSVP for the dinner, the deadline is May 1st.  Please RSVP to Evie Haberer.
