Greetings Sunrise Rotarians!
Our club got 2016 off to a fine start with breakfast at the Starfire Golf Club last Thursday. The rain was pouring down outside but under Neil Sutton's leadership we officially kicked off our golf tournament fund raising efforts. The tournament is scheduled at Starfire on Friday, February 26 and it funds our club's signature project, Special Day for Special Kids, which occurs on March 19. All members are expected to participate in the fund-raiser either by sponsoring a hole, putting together a golf foursome from outside the club, actively soliciting silent auction/raffle items from area businesses, or selling raffle tickets. More detailed information is forthcoming.
A proposal has been made to hold an event the evening of Thursday, February 25 at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to preview the golf fund-raiser silent auction items that have been procured by club members. The intent is to generate interest in these items from golfers that will participate in the tournament as well as Rotarian family members. ROTARY MEMBERS - PLEASE DETERMINE IF YOUR SPOUSE/SO WILL COMMIT TO ATTEND THIS EVENT WITH YOU AS WE WILL HOLD A DISCUSSION AND YES/NO VOTE ON IT THURSDAY MORNING.
This week's program is brought to us by Kevin Cherilla of K2 Adventures. An Arizona non-profit organization, the mission of K2 Adventures is to care for children, adults, and families with special needs and or life changing medical circumstances by providing services, support and funds that will be used for educational and medical enrichment.
See you Thursday morning and Let's Share Rotary!
