What a truly meaningful Rotary meeting we had last week! Three of the six delegates our club sponsored to RYLA recapped their experiences at the Heber, AZ event. Our fourth RYLA presenter was Maria Merlot from Brazil who is spending the school year with Helene, Jill and Lee Dueringer. Maria is a Rotary Youth Exchange student sponsored by the Mesa West and Four Peaks Rotary clubs. All the high schoolers felt the weekend was most fun highlighted by life changing experiences. We also had Rotarians visiting from Hermosillo, Mexico that gave the meeting a truly international feel. And our program presenter Jim Bissonett provided an overview of what the Rotary International Foundation is all about. The meeting gave all in attendance real life examples of what makes Rotary great.
