On Thursday, June 10th, we had 23 participants for our club’s bi-monthly Zoom/Hybrid meeting. Our Speaker was Arizona Senator, Mark Kelly. The Senator joined us live via Zoom from Washington, DC. While he was only with us for a short time, he was able to answer some questions touching on immigration, the climate, the filibuster, courts, and bi-partisanship.

 

Meeting/Social Gathering (6/24 @5pm)

• Our next gathering will be held at Craig & Julianne’s home on June 24th at 5pm with heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks/happy hour. We will have a short meeting at 6:30pm. If you want, please bring your own adult beverages, though there will be plenty of cold water for everyone otherwise. This is our last meeting of the Rotary year, and we will induct our new President and Board! Please make every effort to join us to welcome in our new leadership and wish them success on their upcoming year.

Madge Adams

• Madge had previously announced her retirement from Rotary at the end of the month. Madge has contributed 14+ Years of service to Rotary. She has been a bedrock of the club’s operations as our Treasurer, an arduous undertaking that is under-appreciated. Madge has always been a great Rotarian but more importantly a great friend to all of us. A huge whole-hearted thank you! (Please see a few pictures below)

 

TRVFA Summary

• We have had 22 donations which represents 61% of our membership for a total of $30,200!! We are #1 in club donations and club participation. So proud of our club!

 

St. Mary’s Food Bank (Scott's Challenge!)

• Our friend Scott made a tremendous proposition to club members. He will match up to $1,000 in new donations to St. Mary’s Food Bank up until June 30th!!
