Our friend Luis Serna is raising money for a class field trip to Washington, D.C. Many of us will remember Luis as one of the speakers at both of our past Good Morning, Great Cause fundraiser breakfasts.
He's asked if his friends from Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary can help him get over the finish line.
As I type this, he has almost reached his goal. If you can help Luis, click the link below.
In last week's meeting we heard from Jenna Bentley, Director of Government Affairs at the Goldwater Institute. She spoke about two initiatives, Right to Try and Right to Earn a Living. The former seeks to make it easier for people with critical diseases to get access to a wider range of potentially life-saving treatments, while the latter seeks to make it easier for professionals in good-standing who are moving to AZ to transfer or reciprocate their licenses and get back to work.
At this week's meeting we will hear from Alexandra Arboleda from the Central Arizona Project. One thing we can all agree on is the importance of water stewardship. Come join us for breakfast and an update on CAP water initiatives.
We're looking for future Rotarians. Give the gift of Rotary!
Invite a friend, or call a Club member we haven't seen in a while. We're always looking for great people to join us in making a difference in our beautiful city.
