This will be the final Rotary Ramblings of 2022. Wow - that came super fast!
We've had a great 2022 as a Club:
We were finally able to hold our Special Day for Special Kids in March... such a great day!
We had an overwhelmingly successful Good Morning Great Cause fundraising breakfast in April!
We cleaned up 2 miles of Cactus Road as part of our Adopt-A-Road sponsorship!
We participated in District-wide Rotary Week of Service projects
We funded $5,000 and received a dollar-for-dollar match from BHHS Legacy Foundation - sending $10,000 to Scottsdale Community Partners (SCP) for their Back To School event!
We helped sort supplies in preparation of next year's BTS program!
Several Rotarians attended the Western Party, for which we supplied a few auction baskets to raise money for our Club... and Lauren represented us well by being part of the "Four Way Test" choir!
We helped deliver Thanksgiving dinner supplies at Vista del Camino as part of the SCP Adopt-A-Family program!
We donated supplies for the Adopt-A-Senior program!
We held a very fun and quite successful Charity Golf Tournament, which hosted 53 registered golfers and provided a net profit of just over $10,000 to the Club!
We had a lovely Christmas party hosted by Ed and Kenda Gonzales!
We built and delivered 30 bikes to Vista del Camino for their Adopt-A-Family Christmas program
Finally, we spent a day delivering Christmas gifts, including bikes, to families served by Vista del Camino
While I have probably forgotten to list a couple of other projects, look at all the wonderful ways we're giving back to our community! If you are reading this edition of Ramblings, you have contributed to the success of our Club in truly being People of Action. ⚙️
We have a bright 2023 ahead and I am grateful to be in service with all of you.
Melisa and I wish you all the Happiest of Holidays and blessings for the New Year.
-Dale
P.S. Join us on January 5th for the first Rotary meeting of the new year. Be sure to stretch first - our speaker is a fitness guy! 😆
