On Thursday, August 20 th, we had 23 members in attendance for our club’s bi-monthly Zoom meeting. We were happy to have our good friend Tim Koepke join us all the way from Yukon, Canada. Great to hear from Tim and reconnect! Our group heard from Dennis Nuklos with “Stepping Up For Seniors.” A 100% volunteer organization, SUFS provides medical care for low-income seniors during emergency medical situations. They assisted 168 last year and have already targeted 220 seniors for assistance this year!

In the vein of making lemonade out of lemons, we were able to donate all of our food stuffs that were intended to be given in goodie bags at the golf tournament to St. Mary’s Food Bank!

Reminder: 50/50 Raffle: We will be drawing the winning ticket for the aborted Golf Event’s 50/50 raffle during our Zoom meeting on  Sept. 3rd. Please reference Bill Adams’ previous emails regarding ticket and payment information.

Our next virtual (Zoom) rotary meeting is scheduled next week for September 3 rd at 7:00am (MT). I will be sending out an email with connection instructions. Our speakers will be Brad Carr & Adam Yarno (City of Scottsdale Building Services & Long Range Planning). This will be an engaging discussion as these topics hit close to home for our Scottsdale residents and neighbors.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday. Have a great week!
