I am writing this bulletin from my room at the Westin Princeville Resort on Kaua'i Hawaii. I overlook the beautiful golf course and ocean. I play on the course tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. I travel to Honolulu for a business meeting on Tuesday then home on Wednesday. I plan to make the meeting next Thursday.
This week we enjoyed the presentation from Nancy Hudson, Principal of Yavapai Elementary School. She provided us with a nice overview of reading preparedness in the elementary grades and how our provision of dictionaries really help the students with their language skills. SSRC looks forward to continued support of the program and expending it to 5 other elementary schools. A sign up sheet to distribute the dictionaries will be circulated soon.
Our speaker this week is Jennifer Smith, a business and life coach. She will share her strategies for achieving success in your professional and personal lives.
