On Thursday, May 14th, we had 23 members in attendance for our club's Zoom meeting and heard from speaker Dave Burns - Talk Show Host, Writer, Blogger at Arizona Sports 98.7 FM and Arizonasports.com. Dave hosts a four hour sports radio show during the afternoon drive called "The Burns and Gambo Show". Dave discussed his work with 98.7FM, shared his thoughts on what sports might look in the new Covid-19 environment, and took plenty of time to answer questions.

 

Our next virtual (Zoom) rotary meeting is scheduled for May 28th at 7:00am. I will send an email out next week with connection instructions. We are still working to get a speaker, but we will meet regardless. If you have an idea for a virtual speaker, please forward your suggestion to Clark ( clark@cg-enterprises.com). 

 

Finally, as some of you may know, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. Austin recently pointed out that the Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary Foundation is listed among Amazon's available charities. All you have to do is go to smile.amazon.com, select our club as your charity of choice (search for "Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary Foundation Inc"), and make your purchases. Going forward, you will need to remember to make your purchases on smile.amazon.com (as opposed to amazon.com). Most of us already shop on Amazon, making this is an easy way to help support our club.
