Our website for the Golf Tournament is live and accepting registrations. In fact, we've already received registration for one foursome!
The website is super easy to use, easy to choose your golf options, and make your purchase. No middle payment system, no spreadsheets, no hassle.
We have partnered with GivSum to help run the operations of the Golf Outing and other upcoming Club events. I will be sending more information on the platform as we roll it out for other events.

Next week is Club service week - NO MEETING on 9/29.
Our project for September and early October is the delivery of dictionaries to 3rd graders.
Our next meeting will be Thursday October 6th. Judy will pass a signup sheet at the 22nd meeting for Thanksgiving and Christmas Vista Del Camino distribution times.
We will also be moving project signups to the GivSum platform - more details on that to follow soon!

This week we heard from Mike Sullivan with The Welcome to America Project. He shared about their work with refugees. The statistics he provided are astounding.
While the refugee crisis can quickly become a political or humanitarian issue, Mike did a masterful job humanizing these individuals - the only difference between a refugee and you & I is one word: circumstance.
Our upcoming speaker on Thursday October 6th is Raising Special Kids. We always love when they visit, so please join us to show our support.
Hey, ya'll - the Western Party is back!
This October 22nd marks the 49th Western Party & Fundraiser. We are looking for a few silent auction items, as our Club has an opportunity to submit items for the silent auction - and keep 100% of the winning bid amount!
Evie, Dennis, and Sonya are working on a wine basket; Ed and I are working on a cigar and whisky basket. Mayor Ortega is providing a date with the Mayor... delicious dates included!
If you have opportunities like weekend cabin rentals or airplane rides, or something providing an experience, those items bring in big bucks.
